Overpriced for the services we had while there. They were under construction, which we knew but the bill was still nearly $200 for ONE night. No pool, no ice unless you got it from the front desk and no other amenities at all. The room was one of the new ones but it was small and the rest of the hotel smelled like drunk old man. The body wash dispenser was empty so I had to wash with the measly bar soap from the sink. Also, all the personal care products smelled very masculine, as a woman I didn't want to smell like Old Spice. Parking cost extra, and the parking wasn't covered and the lot was so tight, like horribly tight that it took multiple maneuvers to get our minivan out. On a plus the ONE employee we encountered at the front desk was polite. We did not appreciate, however, the tack-on fee of nearly $6 for some made up expense. We will never stay there again, it was our 9th Anniversary, we wanted a local get-away, we really wish we'd stayed somewhere else.
Most of the hotel was under construction while we were there and we did get woken up in the morning by work. If you drive a large vehicle be aware the parking garage is very tight, you can probably fit but it may take some manuvering. That said, the room we stayed in was brand new and had a spectacular view of Windsor/Detroit. I will most likely stay here on my next visit to Windsor.
The hotel is very quiet even though it is in a very accessible location. The towels here are better than mine at home, which is more than unusual for any hotel. Very close to interesting bars and restaurants, as well ad the border. Would definitely recommend.
Had a horrible experience here. Staff was extreamly rude and unhelpful. When I went it was under construction so there was no pool, breakfast or gym but I had to pay the same rate as if there was. After I booked my room by card was apparently declined but I was not notified of this until I got to the hotel and was told because of this I might get a different rate. The parking structure is also a nightmare, it was extreamly difficult to get around with my large car. On top of all of this when we first got there we where warned not to be too friendly to the construction workers and to make sure we lock our doors at night. This made us feel very unsafe and the construction workers where very creepy. The room itself was nice, but there was no fridge or microwave. I would not return.
Place Is okay at best. Wont be back. Very old hotel more than half is under construction. Hallways were dirty. Staff was nice no complaints about them. Room was very out dated wasnt vacuumed through. and havent been redone in a long time. Caulk in shower had a lot of mold. Wasnt fully cleaned. Parking is a little sketchy its on the second floor outside in a very tight lot. Also doesnt seem very secure. Picture was right outside our room. Would rather spend 30-40$ more for a better hotel.
