Other than some receptionists the staff is very helpful and friendly. Especially in plastic surgeon clinic for my hand. Nurses were great and Dr. Adam seems to be an incredible doctor. Seems to sincerely care about patients and their injuries. However what i am not sure of is why did they did not put a splint on my finger? It was pinned but no splint. We will see how it heals then I will most likely raise it to five stars because at the end of the day leaving healthy is the most important thing
I have to write this review on the basis of a place that treated me many times. The ER is a minimum of 8 hour wait but once you are in their system they have amazing doctors and super-human nurses. Thank you very much for your help. I lived in the US as a kid with zero health coverage and a major disease and to be able to walk into a hospital and be treated for a cost of virtually nothing but my time is nothing short of a modern miracle. Much appreciated.
This place is trash. Came here with my niece and the waiting time is ridiculous. There is a lady in reception who does nothing but tell people to be patient. The nurses and doctors are all snobs.The downtown campus is so much better and you get helped there faster.
Husband just had to leave after waiting almost eight hours overnight in the ER for our 18 month old to be seen. Never even spoke to a doctor, though his fever was high enough they had to administer different meds in the waiting room to try and control it. He's going to go to a walk in clinic where maybe they will actually see him. Sick babies need to eat, Met hospital, they can't "just keep waiting"... though one nurse was nice enough to offer her lunch food to him. They did try and reassure my husband that it's normal to go more than 7 hours before speaking with a doctor, which is disgraceful. I've had issues in the past with this hospital before; my newborn son was denied treatment for a tongue tie that kept him from nursing properly since the attending physician "didn't believe in it" and said I should just deal with the pain despite the lactation consultant's insisting it was needed, so we had to wait until the next day for a competent doctor to perform the procedure so my newborn could eat). This region needs actual health care access.Edit: Just after I posted this my husband called and said that the doctor finally checked out our baby, said he "seemed fine" and that we should go see our family doctor. Gee thanks. 104+ degree fever and clearly lethargic but yeah, he's cool. Useless.
My 8 years old kid was crying from stomach pain for 3 hours and no doctor attended her. We were then told that we had to wait for another 5 hours because they were busy. We went home and I failed my kid and felt bad when she was crying and begging me to make the pain go away, and that was the 1st time my kid learnt that her father is helpless. That is a memory I wish I can take away. I would give them a zero but google does not allow it. Furthermore, the nurses that dealt with us showed no empathy or shmpathy at all.For those who claim that it is normal to wait an average of 8 hours to be attended, although I totally disagree however I can understand that for us adults, but for kids who are in severe pain that is brutal, and inconsiderate.
