Lamb chops were really good and a lot of them, enough to share with someone. The beef stroganoff was okay. Service was good.

The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is gorgeous, however, the food really lets this place down. If you want to wow someone on a date at a pricey gorgeous restaurant, this a a great place, as long as your date doesn't want anything to eat or drink. If you want a place with great Italian food, look elsewhere. The food was mediocre at best, and overpriced. I don't mind paying more for excellent food, but I've had better from mall cafeterias - and I say this as an Italian. Their bar is no better - I was not impressed by their wine selection and the mixed drink they made me was done wrong...I couldn't even drink it. My date's drink arrived with some dirt on the rim, and I could hear a patron at the next table asking for dishes that had actually been washed.

So many lovely, fun memories. Hoping to begin new memories soon. My wonderful Canadian friend/co-worker introduced me to The Cook Shop when we worked together at Crain Communications, Downtown Detroit over 30 years ago! We had so many Fabulous lunches together!Love you my friend Alice Harvey! Heavenly Wimbledon, cocktails & smokes to you!

This is a place that you must try when you are in Windsor. Thus place is cosy, seems like a house turned to a restaurant. The lightning is charming. The employee are nice and respectful. You will have a salad entrance for everyone sooo delicious and fresh. The food is so tasty, you smell it when you enter the restaurant anyway. I highly recommend it

I've Been going to The Cook Shop for at least 30 years. Always loved it! Have brought many others and celebrated my birthday here last night!Love the lamb chops... best in the city! Unfortunately most likely won't be back. I am paying for the 'whole experience'. Serving a wonderful, tender steak, lamb, etc. with no starch selection except a 'tomato based pasta', I would have ordered Pasta for dinner if I wanted it.I was very disappointed.A small potato and a vegetable would complete this fantastic steak. Maybe a small detail, but i think a $35 steak should be accompanied with a choice of starch. Thank you.
