Prices keep going up, and I wish they would follow up with their customers like other vet hospitals do. Make it a bit more personal to the customer

I dropped my dog off for boarding for two nights. I was told she would need an exam and a vaccination. Seeing as I paid $80 for the exam, I expected a full exam, and was happy to pay the fee. I picked my dog up and brought her home to find she has a huge, severe ear infection, one that NO ONE mentioned to me. I called the vet office and asked for the notes the vet had taken during the exam. The only thing he had written down was her temperature. Also, I put a down payment for boarding, like they ask at the beginning of her stay, and when I went to pick her up, they tried to charge me the entire fee all over again, disregarding the $150 I had already paid. The receptionist are polite and kind, but the service is completely disappointing. My dog will definitely not be returning.

First off, we are from Ohio. We were in town for the weekend visiting family for Thanksgiving. Our dog became very ill late Friday night/early Saturday morning (10/06/18). We drove to Lauzon Veterinary Hospital around 2:00am (maybe earlier) and waited for the tech to acknowledge us. Not like someone coming in at that time would be an emergency or anything no big deal (hopefully you can sense the sarcasm here). After about a 10 minute wait for him to finish on the phone talking about boarding a dog with another customer, we finally were able to check in our dog to be seen. Which that took way too much time. First off, this place is filthy and just smells like garbage. Secondly, the veterinarian that we saw had zero bedside manners and zero compassion. Once we finally were able to tell him what was going on (our dog was vomiting/bloody diarrhea), he just kinda looked at her and then us with a confused I dont know what to tell you face. He hurt my dog trying to take her temperature (which made her throw up) and then all I could hear was screams from her while they were trying to draw her blood for the blood tests. We were the ones having to recommend doing blood work and suggesting medications for her. After being there for 3.5 hours, we left with being notified she had hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, got her on some antibiotics, anti-vomiting medicine and something to calm her tummy down. I was not about to leave her there for 24 or more hours for IV fluids. 4 hours later we went to Clearwater Animal Hospital and they were fantastic, and thats how it should be (got her on fluids and anti-diarrhea meds). Lauzon Vet Hospital has no business seeing animals and should be shut down or a whole new staff take over. What a horrid, dirty, unprofessional vet Ive ever been to. And what they charge you is completely ridiculous for the crummy half-assed service you receive. I wouldve walked out within 5 min but I really needed to find out what was going on with my lil baby.

Alright.... this place has very nice receptionists BUT horrible doctors AND ITS DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY THERE WAS BLOOD ALL OVER THE FLOOR WHEN WE WENT IN FROM ANOTHER DOGS NAILS I COULDNT BELIEVE IT (i forgot to take pictures because my dog was getting restless from them being unorganized).. We have only received 1 good doctor out of the 3-4 times going with our puppy who is a boxer/ pitbull mix.. He is 1 year old and has been going here since we got him BUT I will be making the change ASAP because of our experience today with Dr. P Branton (the older larger white male). He made myself, my boyfriend, and dog highly uncomfortable because he was terrified of our big puppy.. I am sorry but you should not allow people who are afraid of big dogs to practice on animals.. I feel my dog did not get a thorough examination today because he was so highly afraid of him for no reason making us put our dog in a head lock and such.. We basically did ALL the work other than giving him the needle for the allergy... I( am pissed that we paid $159.95 for a VERY VERY UNORGANIZED Vet who was scared to even let our dog SMELL HIM!! I do not feel comfortable bringing him back here as he wants our dog to be sedated to look at his eyes because HE is AFRAID to get close.. WILL not be getting my dog neutered here as the Doctor is afraid of him (wouldn't even fully come into the room until we told him its okay??) Why practice on dogs if you are afraid? HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER VET!! More money wasted on yet another unorganized visit..

Great doctors and front desk staff. You can tell everyone truly cares about your pet. They never push you to buy their products or spend more than you need to. In 20 years I have never had any thoughts of switching vets.
