Im not at all one to complain or do anything like this but I got my hair done on Saturday morning, committed four hours of my day and even waited 30 minutes past my appointment time because my hairstylist was late and I left feeling as if I waisted my money entirely. I book a consultation at this place last week to discuss what I wanted because I was told thatd be the best way to go over what Im trying to achieve, all I asked for was ombr. Even though 230 plus tax seemed a bit overpriced for hair I went ahead and booked it, assuming Id get what I paid for, or at least something similar to. It ended up coming to $260 plus a tip so $300. I was charged for two colours when I really only see one, my tips are a bit lighter but its very uneven and is a lighter tone of brown, nothing done worth the money spent. Understandable maybe she tried her best and failed, maybe my hair didnt take it but she could have atleast been straight up and tell me during the consultation if its not going to work out so I can make sure to go elsewhere where Ill pay less and actually get the job done correctly. Lightening has never been an issue anywhere else Ive gone and to be honest I should have said something immediately after but I didnt want to be rude and have a problem being too nice but as soon as I spoke about it to others and got different opinions based of how I felt. A couple hours went by and I called back to see if theres absolutely anything that could be done. They were nice on the phone and seemed very understanding and said the boss would contact me Tuesday and that the problem would be fixed. By Tuesday no call but when I contacted them yesterday very politely they seemed to have an issue. No boss to talk to, no contact number that has any sort of solution to my problem. Later that day the owners husband had called me back apologizing offering to fix my hair at no cost. Being very thankful I took up the offer. About an hour goes by and he calls me back telling me that the girl had stated that it was going to take steps to get my hair as light as I wanted. I knew that, however that being said she did not mention it wasnt at all going to be blonde. But he proceeded to tell me she didnt and argue with me about how she worked so hard lol. Why would I waste my own money on a job I could easy do myself and call to try to fix it if it was so 'done so nicely' say that he definitely cant do my hair anymore and that he was taking back the offer, definitely not even able to give a PARTIAL refund to make up for the inconvenience but I could come back in two weeks for maybe a style or so they could check out my hair because its way too damaged and they said itd fry it right off. Luckily I took no offence because I know my own hair. It might not be the healthiest but its damn well not dead and fried to a crisp to the point where it doesnt take colour and will turn to straw. What kind of owner says this to someone. I passed on the offer and I will never come back to this business again. Im disgusted I even gave them the opportunity to do it. I work for my money I dont just dish it out to anyone for my hair to look semi decent. Looks like a faded ombr after a year of being done I will be telling everyone about the horrible service I received!
I highly recommend Sage for both hair and esthetic services. The gorgeous atmosphere and excellent quality of services keeps me coming back.
Terrible service- stay away! BE AWARE, if youre not of white colour you will be discriminated against! I arranged my friends (Indian background) from out of town to get their hair and make up done this past weekend. Upon their arrival they were instantly told they could not get their make-up done because they had no such DARK colour. The so called make up artist was unprofessional and unapologetic. To top it off, the hair stylist also commented I cant do your hair, its too long. With a smirk on their faces, the workers both felt satisfied by discriminating against my friends. My friends were left in tears. They had no other means of doing hair and make up and to make matters worse, one of them was in town celebrating her engagement party. We rushed to make up for everything. Shes since felt devastated by Windsor. However, I assured her that racist workers at Sage Salon ARE NOT A TRUE REPRESENTATION OF WINDSOR. We will NOT TOLERATE DISCRIMINATION! I strongly urge management to follow through with these employees (note: appointment was on Friday, July 6th, morning time)As for everyone, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Support locals who deserve it!
