My first visit to Canada. Just a clean and beautiful. A peaceful time at the park.
I love this little park for some seriously underrated views of the west side of the bridge. There is a playground and some swings there for little ones to play on and tons of seating. There is lots of parking, but keep in mind the big lots on the left side (coming towards the water) are meant for vehicles with trailers. Bring a blanket if you're going to sit back on the grass, per most parks around here, geese run rampant and so does the mess they leave behind. But it's good to hang out in, and you'll find it pretty busy with postsecondary students. However, it suffers from the usual problems regarding most public areas in Windsor. Overflowing trash and it sometimes attracts unfavourable loiterers.
As a 58 yr old single male I find this small waterfront park to be a little known jem of Windsor's many wonderful parks. Lots of geese and ducks and pigeons and seagulls. I live at 373 Detroit St. so it is a short walk to the park for me. In fact I walk through Paterson Park to get there :)
This place is awesome if you wanna hang out with friends, family and take a walk with the dog for a small picnic and for lovebirds its awesome place for fun.
Great location for hanging out with family or friends. Right by the water and you can see the bridge close by as well.
